Finance

your plans,
with a clearer path.

Explore credit cards, personal finance, car loans and mortgages in the UAE. Understand the commitment behind each option before you take the next step.

start with what matters.

Different plans call for different finance conversations. Start with the purpose, amount and repayment you can manage; then compare total costs and provider conditions. AMAFH supports your enquiry while the lender makes its own assessment.

  • Compare total repayments, not only the instalment
  • Ask for the current Key Facts Statement
  • Review existing commitments and future expenses

EXPLORE WITH CONFIDENCE

understand the commitment behind finance.

Finance enquiries should bring the purpose, amount and full repayment picture together. A card, personal loan, vehicle loan and mortgage are different arrangements; the useful comparison points change with the goal. Use the individual service pages to explore those differences before moving to a provider’s application.

01

Credit for purchases is not the same as a term loan

A credit card can involve a changing balance and billing cycle, while a term finance agreement usually sets out a defined repayment schedule. Compare each product on its own rules, including how charges are calculated and what happens when payments are missed. A feature such as instalments on a card should be understood under the issuer’s separate conditions, not assumed to work like another loan.

02

An asset adds another layer of assessment

Car and mortgage enquiries involve both the applicant and the vehicle or property. Ask about accepted assets, valuation, documentation and any insurance requirements. A preliminary personal assessment does not mean that every asset will be accepted. Keep the purchase process, finance conditions and associated costs clear before making an external commitment to a seller or developer.

03

Compare the full timeline of the agreement

Look beyond the first instalment or introductory period. Discuss the total repayable amount, later pricing, early settlement and possible changes to your circumstances. Ask for written illustrations using the same amount and term so alternatives can be assessed consistently. AMAFH helps organize the enquiry; the lender decides whether an offer is available and under which terms.

BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

a few more useful answers.

Start a conversation
Can I ask about conventional and Islamic finance?

You can state that preference in your enquiry. Ask the provider to explain the contractual structure, pricing, fees and repayment obligations of the actual product being offered.

Why is the total cost more useful than an advertised rate alone?

Fees, the term and the calculation basis can change what you pay. A rate without those details is incomplete. Compare written repayment schedules and ask about costs outside the instalment.

A CLOSER LOOK

a bigger plan.
a complete cost picture.

Explore the financial commitment behind personal finance, vehicle finance and a mortgage. A useful comparison starts with the purchase and keeps the provider’s terms alongside the monthly payment.

Identify the expense or purchase you want to explore before choosing a finance category. A general personal-finance enquiry, a vehicle purchase and a property purchase can involve different requirements and documents. Consider the money you can contribute and costs outside the amount being financed. This gives the conversation a useful scope without assuming that the requested amount or product will be available for your circumstances.

Define the purchase before the finance request.

The term and repayment structure affect more than the size of an instalment. Ask how interest or profit, initial charges and other applicable costs are described in the written offer. Compare total repayments as well as the monthly amount, using the same assumptions where possible. If the pricing can change, ask how that change is applied and how you would be informed during the arrangement.

Compare the complete repayment picture.

Think about the questions that may matter after the purchase: payment dates, an early repayment, a change in circumstances or the end of the term. Ask the lender to explain the relevant conditions rather than relying on what applied to another person. Linked accounts or protection arrangements also need their own terms. Understanding these points before proceeding makes the continuing commitment easier to follow.

Ask about the whole term, not just the start.

YOUR NEXT STEP, CONSIDERED

prepare the right comparison.
review the whole commitment.

The three finance guides focus on different goals. Use the appropriate one to build a short list of provider questions before discussing a specific offer.

Start a focused conversation
01 / 03

Personal finance: start with the expense

Describe the purpose and consider how the proposed repayments would fit alongside your other commitments. Ask about the pricing method, fees and any salary or account requirements that apply. A general product example does not confirm the terms or amount for your own application.

  • Purpose, timing and existing commitments
  • Pricing method and all relevant charges
  • Provider requirements for your application
Read the personal-finance guide
02 / 03

Car finance: separate purchase and funding

A vehicle price, a finance offer and an insurance quotation answer different questions. Keep the deposit, financing costs and vehicle ownership expenses visible together. Ask how a new or used vehicle is considered and which purchase documents the provider expects at the relevant stage.

  • Vehicle choice and purchase information
  • Upfront contribution and repayment structure
  • Insurance and ownership costs alongside finance
Read the car-loan guide
03 / 03

Mortgages: see beyond the property price

A home plan includes purchase expenses as well as a longer financing term. Review the money needed before completion and ask how the rate structure works over time. Property information, valuation and the lender’s checks may all form part of the provider process.

  • Purchase budget beyond the headline price
  • Rate structure and future repayment changes
  • Property and lender assessment stages
